FOUNDED
in Lima, Perú. 2017.

KINUA is a brand committed to sustainability, ethical production and timeless design. Each collection is designed and produced in Perú.

We choose to work only with natural resources for this reason our products are made only with KINUA yarns, offering full traceability in each garment.

Our products are ethically made and socially responsible and they aim to preserve ancestral textile techniques while offering a modern aesthetic.

We believe in timeless fashion. For this reason rather than developing several collections per year , we develop only one, creating products that last a lifetime rather than a season.

We create collections infused of botanical dyes offering flawless sustainable biodegradable garments colored by nature created to inspire.

  • Maira Valderrama

    FOUNDER

She is an award winning fashion & textile designer. After living abroad for almost 11 years between New York, London & Paris working in the luxury fashion industry, Maira decided to come back to Peru. With studies from world’s most prestigious design schools including Parsons School of Design (New York), Central Saint Martins (London) and L’École de la Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne (Paris) she has been researching the world of natural dyeing for the last 10 years where color becomes the main source of inspiration in every collection . Her garments combine handwork techniques with innovative design, where perfection and rawness blend to create sculptural shapes. Nothing is constant. The result is a search for emotion, individuality and expression.
